This is Matt Billings General manager of KWRT. Recent events have made it necessary for me to address our policy for news at KWRT. KWRT will never ever Sensationalize, Fabricate, Opinionate, a news story period. KWRT will never become the story, we will not place ourselves in the news story to build listenership. KWRT will report ONLY the facts during our news. In todays rush by other news media to become the story we have chosen to follow principals of integrity and honor when reporting the news. When you listen to KWRT news you can be assured that it is factual, honest, and free of any vendettas. This pledge I make to you our listeners. You can continue to trust in us to bring you the news free of sensationalism or fabrication. Thanks for making us your #1 source for news in the boonslick area. Well, sounds like someone needs a nap.

Anyway, you guys do a good job of reporting on the news, and not beating a dead horse like another media outlet in town. I do agree there is a difference in a show like partyline that can get the opinion of people in the community on issues, and 5 days of articles about the Pirate Press or Fr Gerald Howard. It is far more enjoyable to hear other opinions about the news, than read one person’s articles.

Just to help you out “News” is at the top of the hour. “Partyline” is a “show” hence The “Partyline Show”. I also added the definition for you.

–noun (usually used with a singular verb) 1. a report of a recent event; intelligence; information: His family has had no news of his whereabouts for months.
    2. the presentation of a report on recent or new events in a newspaper or other periodical or on radio or television.
    3. such reports taken collectively; information reported: There’s good news tonight.
    4. a person, thing, or event considered as a choice subject for journalistic treatment; newsworthy material.

Hopefully you wont be confused next time.
